Wednesday Weekly Website–Story Scramble

Story Scramble

2011-03-14_1141

Review: Story Scramble is another good site from PBS. In this easy and straight forward game, young kids are asked to put the story cards in right order. A exercise for beginner readers and comprehension. If the child is too young to read, he/she can still play the game as each card can be read to the player by hitting the speaker button. There is some music (can that noise be called music?) at the beginning of the game though.

  1. Assalaamu Alaikum sis,

Masha Allaah great findings sis. My daughter is now in to online learning and these resources would really help me. I could not go the the site due to slow internet connection right now but will check it out soon Insha Allaah. I hope and pray these resources are free of music as I am having a time looking for stuff without music. Thanks for sharing sis!

Music is definitely a big problem. There is some sort of music at the beginning of this activity although it is more like a weird noise. But most of the times I find that even with speakers off, we can still do the activity. At least I try and include only those websites which don't have music, or can still be used with speakers off. My kids also know that when music starts they have to turn their speakers off. A good side to it is that now when we are in a public place and music sounds, my kids block their ears with fingers :) , alhamdulillaah!

    wassalam
